Domestic Violence Victim Impact Panel at Gateways for Youth and Families

Gateways for Youth and Families provides the Domestic Violence Victim Impact Panel to educate Domestic Violence offenders about affects of actions on all parties involved. An offender's actions reach beyond the victim to the community faced with the task of breaking the cycle of violence. The Domestic Violence Victim Impact Panel offer declarations from survivors of domestic violence as well as (GALs)guardian ad litems, therapists, attorneys, medical provider's first responders and others. During the impact panel, time is available for question and answer after the panel shares information with the participants. The impact panels are held in a safe and closely monitored environment for everyone involved. The participants receive a certificate at the end of the class to give to the courts.
